Phú Quốc is a mysterious island, not always “easy-going” unless you know the best time to visit, what to eat, and where to drink. Today, Melica Resort shares some handy tips to ensure your trip heals your soul without breaking your wallet!

WHEN TO VISIT PHÚ QUỐC?

Every season in Phú Quốc has its own unique beauty, but the best time to visit the “Pearl Island” is undoubtedly from October to May. This is the dry season, with minimal rain, plenty of sunshine, calm seas, and the most stunning sunsets. Just point your camera and snap away, and you’re sure to capture a cinematic shot.

From May to October, Phú Quốc enters the rainy season, bringing humidity and long-lasting rains. During this period, the sea becomes rougher and the water turns murky. This is also the time for typhoons, particularly from July to September, making outdoor activities and sightseeing more challenging. If you plan to visit during this time, be prepared to spend more time indoors and always check the weather forecast and have backup plans to ensure a fun trip regardless of the weather.
